Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Relive Journal service (the "Service"), operated by Visual Binary Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
"Account" means your individual user account registered with the Service.
"Subscription" means the paid access to the Service, billed on a recurring basis through Stripe.
"User Content" means any diary or journal entries, text, images, or other materials you submit to the Service.
"Book" means the printed volume we produce after 52 weekly entries are submitted.
2. Description of the Service
Relive Journal is a software-as-a-service platform allowing users to submit one diary or journal entry per week for up to 52 weeks. At the end of a complete 52‑week cycle, we produce, print, and ship a physical book containing your entries.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free Trial
Subscription Provider. All subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe ("Payment Processor"). You must comply with Stripe’s terms.
Billing Cycle. Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled.
Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time through your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Free Trial/Introductory Offers. We may offer a free trial or other introductory pricing. Trial periods and promotional terms are specified at signup. If you cancel during a trial, you will lose access when the trial ends.
4. Cancellation, Refunds, and Book Production
Incomplete Entries. If you cancel before submitting 52 entries, we cannot produce or ship the Book unless you complete the outstanding weeks.
Make‑Up Subscriptions. Under special circumstances, we may allow you to pay the pro‑rata amount for your remaining weeks (the "Outstanding Balance") and proceed with production. Contact us at team@relivejournal.com to discuss.
Refunds. If you cancel and request a refund, the maximum refundable amount is one month’s Subscription fee. All refund requests must be made within 30 days of cancellation.
5. User Content; Rights and Responsibilities
Ownership. You retain all rights to your User Content.
License Grant. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display it solely for providing the Service, including Book production.
Content Standards. You represent and warrant that you own or have permission to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any laws or third‑party rights. You agree not to submit abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise offensive content.
Editing for Print. We reserve the right to edit, format, or omit portions of User Content to ensure it:
Complies with our content policies;
Fits within the 52‑page Book format;
Is suitable for printing and distribution.
6. Shipping; Delivery
We will ship the printed Book to the address provided in your Account. Delivery times vary by region and are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.
7. Disclaimers; Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties. THE SERVICE AND BOOK ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VISUAL BINARY LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Account or access to the Service if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at relivejournal.com/terms and notified via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
